I recently hosted a corporate retreat at the Westin, and the experience was a mixed bag. The hotel sits conveniently near the Galleria shopping mall, making it easy for after-work outings. The proximity to restaurants and shops cuts down on travel time, which is a plus for busy professionals. The room I stayed in was spacious, featuring a comfortable bed and an assortment of pillows—essential for a good night’s rest. The fitness centre offered excellent equipment, allowing me to squeeze in a workout between meetings. The overall experience was marred by a few setbacks. I received limited breakfast options and found the dining prices to be on the higher side. I initially thought I had booked the Westin Galleria, thinking I’d have direct access to the mall, which added to my disappointment. While the 24-hour reception was helpful, the hotel lacked some essential business amenities. I appreciated the valet parking and luggage storage, which simplified our check-in. For business travelers, this hotel offers solid basics but requires some adjustments to enhance the overall experience.
